Cathy Hill joined the Memorial Health Board of Directors in 2016. She is a vice president for Georgia Power, leading 300 employees and serving 296,000 customers in Savannah, Statesboro, Brunswick, Hinesville, and surrounding communities. Hill provides leadership for engineering, construction, sales, and economic and community development. She began working at Georgia Power in 1984 and was elected vice president of the coastal region in 2008.
Hill is vice chair of the Savannah Economic Development Authority, chairman of the board of directors for Armstrong State University Educational Properties Foundation, and past-chairman of the Creative Coast, United Way of the Coastal Empire, and the Armstrong State University Foundation. She serves on the board of directors for the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Savannah Technical College, Georgia Tech - Savannah, and Ossabaw Island Foundation.
Hill received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech and a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University. She completed the executive management program at Harvard University. As a 2010 fellow of the International Women’s Forum, she studied at the prestigious Judge School of Business at Cambridge University. Hill is also a graduate of Leadership Georgia, the Regional Leadership Institute, and Leadership Atlanta.
Hill has earned numerous local and state awards for her service and leadership. She lives in Pooler with her husband and two children.
