Robert Dow Hoffman, M.D., joined the Memorial Health Board of Directors in 2016. He is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of shoulders, knees, and sports injuries. Hoffman attended Duke University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Iowa Hospitals. He served four years as an orthopaedic surgeon in the U.S. Navy before joining Chatham Orthopaedic Associates in Savannah in 2003.
Hoffman is past president of the Memorial medical staff, a physician champion for Memorial Health’s Joint Replacement Center of Excellence, and former chair of the department of orthopaedic surgery at Memorial University Medical Center. He also provides medical care for the athletic teams of Savannah College of Art and Design and Calvary Day School.
