    Memorial University Medical Center's FitnessOne is a gym and wellness center that promotes healthy living. FitnessOne members can participate in programs that address all components of wellness, including exercise, nutrition, mental health, emotional well-being, and social health. We emphasize education and personal safety in all of our programs.

    Our Expert Team
    The FitnessOne team consists of fitness specialists with degrees in the field of exercise science. They conduct a thorough fitness assessment with each new member and provide individual exercise plans. They are also available to answer your questions.

  • Adrienne Bell
    Adrienne Garbe Bell  earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Georgia and a master’s in public health from Armstrong Atlantic State University. She is certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Bell is a Pilates mat and apparatus instructor with special certification as a pre- and post-natal Pilates trainer. She specializes in Spinning, FittBarre, Pilates, Silver Sneakers, and yoga.
    Janet McCarthy
    Janet McCarthy  has a Bachelor of Science degree in communications with a health science focus from Georgia Southern University. She is certified by Interactive Fitness Trainers of America in personal training, aqua aerobics, and Spin. She is also a yoga and Pilates instructor. McCarthy has special training in behavioral eating and was voted personal trainer of the year in 2011 by Connect Savannah.
    Richard Gray
    Rich Gray  attended Erie Community College and is certified by Interactive Fitness Trainers of America. He specializes in sports nutrition and previously owned a sports nutrition store in Savannah. Gray has more than 20 years of experience in the nutrition and fitness industry.
    Nicolas Hipko
    Nick Hipko  earned an undergraduate degree in exercise physiology at The College of Charleston and a master’s degree in sports medicine from Armstrong Atlantic State University. He is a former collegiate ice hockey player. Hipko has provided sports performance coaching for athletes in baseball, swimming, weightlifting, cheerleading, dance, and Tae Kwon Do. He is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and specializes in plyometrics, sport-specific training, and functional training.
    Katy Keyes
    Katy Keyes  is a licensed and board-certified massage therapist as well as an Aerobics and Fitness Association of America-certified personal trainer. She received training in yoga for cancer patients at Om Yoga. Keyes teaches yoga and stress management programs that are specially designed for people receiving cancer treatment and cancer survivors.
    Alisa Meier
    Alisa Meier  holds a bachelor’s degree in health science and pre-sport medicine from Armstrong Atlantic State University and a master’s degree in kinesiology from Boise State University. She is certified as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Meier is a former collegiate tennis player from Ukraine and a three-time national champion tennis player at Armstrong Atlantic State University. She specializes in teaching a healthy lifestyle and helping individuals reach their personal fitness goals through a variety of workout philosophies.
    Melissa Bowen
    Melissa Safrit Bowen  attended the University of Georgia and earned a bachelor’s degree with specialization in health promotion and behavior and corporate wellness. She holds group fitness instructor certification from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. She specializes in boot camp, quick fix, and Pilates programs, with additional emphasis on posture and core strength training.

    We are located on the third floor of the Memorial Outpatient and Wellness Center at Memorial University Medical Center (MUMC). Enter MUMC's main entrance at Waters Avenue and 63rd Street. You will be on Clark Drive. At the first stop sign, you will see the Memorial Outpatient and Wellness Center on your right. There is a parking lot across the street from the building. Get directions to the MUMC campus.
