The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS, pronounced H-caps) is the first national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients' perspectives of hospital care.
The survey is given to a random sample of adult patients who were admitted to Memorial University Medical Center for medical, surgical, or maternity care. They are asked a series of questions about their hospital stay and must provide an answer of:
