Memorial Health for Women offers an online childbirth class for busy parents. The Gift of Motherhood is an interactive, web-based class that includes animated illustrations and videos. It can be viewed on a PC or Mac.

The online childbirth class costs $50 and can be accessed for 90 days. When you register, make sure you'll have time within the next 90 days to view the materials and complete the class. After you register and pay, you will receive an access code to start the class. You'll also receive an email address and phone number for a childbirth educator that you can contact if you have questions.
The Gift of Motherhood is an interactive course that you watch on our own time from a computer or mobile device with internet access. The course covers all aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and general newborn care. At the bottom of each page of the course, you'll find links to information about having a baby at Memorial Health for Women.
You will click through the pages of an online flipbook. Be sure to click on all of the icons to learn more. Some icons open a video or animation, others give you added information. First, make sure your internet connection is working by visiting some other websites. Then, make sure you have the newest version of Adobe Flash. You may need to uninstall the previous version of Flash before you install the new version. For instructions on how to uninstall Flash, visit their support site.
It may take a few minutes for the program to load. When internet access is slow, the course may load more slowly than normal. If, after a several minutes, nothing appears, try restarting your computer.
Give the videos a moment to load and make sure you have the latest version of Flash. If it still doesn’t work, try restarting your computer.
Try reentering the code, making sure there are no spaces before or after the code. If that does not work, contact the administrator at your hospital to make sure the code is still active. Note: all “0s” are numerals. If these suggestions do not help, please notify your educator for assistance.
