Memorial Health Outpatient Rehab’s industrial services program helps people return to work after an injury and educates employers about safe work environments.

People admitted to the industrial services program have a medical diagnosis that limits their ability to work, such as multi-trauma, traumatic brain injury, burns, amputation, spinal cord injury, chronic low back pain, cumulative trauma injury, musculoskeletal dysfunction, or other major orthopaedic or neurological conditions.

Industrial therapy may include:

  • Work hardening/conditioning
  • Simulation of work activities
  • Exercise activities to improve overall work tolerance
  • Education in body mechanics
  • Injury prevention education
  • Chronic pain management techniques

Our industrial services therapists provide treatment for individuals as well as assistance and guidance to businesses on the following topics:

  • Education on body mechanics and injury prevention
  • Americans with Disabilities Act consultations
  • Ergonomics analysis
  • Job site analysis
  • Screenings and functional capacity evaluations
  • OSHA training
  • Injury prevention programs
