Memorial Health Opens New Bluffton, S.C., Medical Center

(September 14, 2010) - Memorial Health in Savannah, Ga., has opened a new 15,000 square-foot Legacy Center location near Bluffton, S.C. The new facility hosts:

•Memorial Health University Physicians (MHUP) -- Legacy Center, the internal medicine practice of John Burling, M.D.
•MHUP -- Provident Ob/Gyn Associates -- Legacy Center, the practice of Joanne Price, M.D.

The Legacy Center location will also feature an array of medical specialties including oncology, breast health services, neurosurgery, podiatry, and others. Six unique buildings totaling 75,000 square feet make up the state-of-the-art Legacy Medical Center complex. It could eventually house as many as 25 private medical offices.

Bluffton is one of the fastest growing areas in South Carolina, with a metro area population of more than 169,000. Memorial's Legacy Center location is adjacent to the Sun City retirement community and conveniently located near the intersection of U.S. 278/Fording Island Road and S.C. 170/Okatie Highway.
