Waiting on a Cure is a highly anticipated annual fundraiser that
benefits the Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute (ACI)
at Memorial University Medical Center. Table hosts purchase a table
for 10 and invite nine of their friends and colleagues to enjoy
lunch with them. The table hosts dress in costumes based on a theme
and serve their guests throughout the meal. The guests then "tip"
their host at the end of the meal.
The 2012 event is being presented by South University and
ApartmentSavannah.com. This year's theme is "I Spy a Cure." The
event chair event is Inge Moore and the honorary chair is Elizabeth
Anderson. This year's honored patient is breast cancer survivor
Proceeds from this year's event will be used to purchase new
surgery technology called the SPY Elite System.
