Savannah, GA – Memorial Health is pleased to announce Tami Taylor, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, has joined the organization as its new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). In this role, she will have executive leadership for nursing functions at Memorial Health.
“Tami will be a great addition to our senior executive team,” said Brad Talbert, Chief Executive Officer of Memorial Health. “During her 30-year career, she has provided senior-level leadership for both nursing and hospital operations. Memorial Health’s physicians, colleagues, and patients will benefit greatly from her leadership experience.”
Taylor previously served as CNO at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, an HCA Healthcare facility located in Round Rock, TX, near Austin. Her extensive leadership background led her to multiple roles in healthcare including the Chief Operating Officer at St. Anthony North Health Campus, in Westminster, CO. While at St. Anthony’s, she managed and opened a 350,000 square foot, 92-bed hospital, health campus and physician office building. She led efforts for their designation as a Primary Stroke Center from The Joint Commission.
Taylor is a board-certified nurse executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). While at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, she facilitated continuous improvement in patient experience, earning an HCAHPS top box score of 74% for overall rating of this hospital. Her focus on quality helped St. David’s achieve a #11 top hospital ranking out of
185 HCA hospitals nationwide, as well as, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade A from 2017-2023 and top 20th percentile of HCA Healthcare for Care Excellence metrics.
For more than 30 years, Taylor has held roles that span from Associate Chief Nursing Officer and director of nursing, to staff nursing in ICU and Emergency Nursing. Tami holds a Master of Science degree in nurse executive practice (MSN) from Research College of Nursing, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Grand Canyon University and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in executive nurse leadership from Baylor University.
