Our world-class surgical teams are with you every step of the way. We look forward to helping you through this important process.

Pre-Surgery Testing

Before your surgery, your physician’s office or a representative from Memorial Health University Medical Center will contact you for a pre-surgery interview. Depending on the type of surgery you’re having, the interview may be done in person or over the telephone. You will speak with a registered nurse about your medical history, receive information about your procedure, receive your pre-surgery instructions, and be encouraged to ask questions.

Some pre-surgery testing also requires blood tests, urine tests, and/or a heart rhythm study.

The pre-surgery testing unit is located in Memorial Health University Medical Center, next to the Provident Building and Parking Deck A. The unit is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

You can reach pre-surgery testing at (912) 350-8484 or (866) 660-2926.
