Comprehensive healthcare in Southeast Georgia

At Memorial Health University Medical Center, we provide top-quality medical and surgical care to patients in Savannah and its surrounding counties. Our doctors and surgeons are here to take care of the whole family, from labor and delivery services in our birthing center to dedicated pediatrics care in our children's hospital.

Our women's care program provides compassionate care to women of all ages and all stages of life. Whether your child benefits from a stay in our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or you require a later-in-life gynecologic procedure, we are here for you and everywhere in between.

Our cancer care history

Our cancer institute was named in honor of Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson in 2001 after their generosity made it possible to build a new facility for our cancer services. The Anderson's vision was to provide the highest level of oncology care right here in Savannah so patients could stay connected with their support system while receiving cancer treatment. We strive every day to uphold this vision by offering state-of-the-art radiation oncology, fellowship-trained surgeons and clinical trials for adult and pediatric patients, sponsored by the National Cancer Institute.

Curtis Anderson, a retired investment banker, and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Savannah. Curtis served in the U.S. Navy and then spent 19 years in the corporate and investment banking field. Like many people, the Andersons were impacted by cancer. They watched close friends leave the Savannah area to find the latest cancer treatments. Together, they vowed to do whatever they could to bring a world-class cancer treatment center to Savannah. They worked with Memorial Health to develop the Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute.
