Bouncing a toddler on your knee. Playing ball. Gardening, golfing or cooking a gourmet meal. These are the everyday activities that become difficult when you're suffering from orthopedic conditions like hip pain, arthritis or a knee injury.
Our orthopedists can help you get your life back.
From diagnosis to surgery and through rehab, everything you need is right here at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital—the area’s only accredited hospital meeting strict orthopedic standards set by The Joint Commission.
Armed with cutting-edge imaging and specialized suites for procedures like knee and hip replacement surgery, our board-certified surgeons and sports medicine specialist have the expertise and equipment to give you the best course of treatment.
Orthopedic Surgery
Surgical repairs are often used by our board-certified orthopedists to help heal fractures that involve joints. In many cases, this is the best way to return patients to a pain-free life.
Total Joint Replacement: At Meadows Hospital, we use advanced computer-assisted surgical techniques to completely replace damaged knees and hips with lightweight, durable prosthetics.
Hand Surgery: We’re the only hospital in the area with the expertise to provide delicate hand surgeries.
Fracture Repair: For complicated bone fractures that won’t respond to non-surgical treatments, we attach orthopedic plates, nails, screws, or pins to properly align bones and promote healing. Occasionally, bone grafts are used to speed the healing process.
Minimally Invasive Orthopedics
In many cases, these options are available for quicker recoveries and greater comfort.
Arthroscopic Surgery: Using an arthroscope, or miniature camera, our orthopedists can see inside (and repair) joints through tiny incisions that minimize discomfort and scarring.
Rotator Cuff Repairs and Shoulder Stabilizations: We use various techniques to help prevent repeated dislocation of the shoulder joint. Often, physical therapy is enough to strengthen muscles around the joint. In more severe cases, our orthopedic surgeons will surgically repair the joint.
Orthopedic Therapy
Our specialists use a variety of treatments to help get you back to enjoying daily activities.
Arthritis Treatment: Treatments range from pain relievers to anti-inflammatories for easing symptoms to joint fusion surgery or replacement in severe cases.
Sports Medicine: We treat many bone and joint problems caused by sports-related activities.
Rehabilitation: Our inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services can help patients recover from injury, maximize the benefits of surgery and, in some cases, avoid surgery altogether.
Orthopedic care at Memorial Health
Orthopedic doctors, called orthopedists, take care of bones and joints. This includes knee pain, total joint replacement, issues that impact your spine and more. You might need to see an orthopedist if you have arthritis or osteoporosis, or if you've had a recent sprain, strain or broken bone.
